2010 Event Records

 

Congratulations To Jeffrey Ayres

Jeff AyresJeff participated in his second Tri To Help event this year after suffering a serious knee injury over the summer. "I tore the quadriceps muscle clean off my kneecap, which required major surgery. Since the day of my accident, I have vowed to complete the 2010 Triathlon." said Jeff. Well, he did and set a new record for the most money collected by a single fundraiser - $4,665!

Kimberly Stein took second place by raising $1,535 and Allison Zazzali came in third with a total of $360. A total of $11, 471 has been raised this year for the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Epilepsy Center. Way to go fundraisers and thanks to ALL those that secured sponsors for the event. The top five Maryland fundraisers were:

  3. Allison Zazzali - $360
  4. Lynn Hacker - $300
  5. Ashley Semesky - $225

Totals by State:

  1. Maryland - $8,907
  2. Connecticut - $1,273
  3. Pennsylvania - $1,291

Spin BikesThis year relay teams participated in the fundraising event. Ten teams total for the Maryland event. Nine of them were at the Towson Merritt location. One of them, Addie's doctors at Hopkins - The Hopkins Epilepsy Center put forth a team effort and won the relay! Way to go Dr. Kossoff, Dr. Hartman, and Dr. Dorward!

Spin BikesAnother record was set for 2010, 221 participants registered for the Tri To Help Maryland event. This is up from 32 participants in the inaugural year five years ago. Thanks to all those that have made this event grow in participants and fundraising over the last five years!!
