Are you ready to take it to the next level? Then the Tri To Help™ Olympic indoor triathlon for epilepsy is just for you. You can challenge yourself physically while fundraising to help raise awareness and find a cure for epilepsy. This event is 2 hours 15 minutes and is NOT for beginners. (If you are a beginner, we recommend getting your “feet wet” with our popular indoor sprint triathlon.)
The indoor Olympic triathlon builds upon our successful and original 10-30-20 indoor sprint triathlon. We bring a popular sporting event indoors protected from the elements when it is too wet, cold or hot outside to train or compete! Participants seem to love this off season event whether they are training for a big triathlon or completing a challenging goal.
This event is the first of its kind to push the distance of an indoor triathlon. Like the indoor sprint triathlon, this Tri To Help™ event was developed to closely translate to an outdoor Olympic triathlon. The Tri To Help™ indoor triathlon is based on time - 120 minutes of racing for each participant. Performance is measured by total distance covered in the time allowed. The more distance you cover, the higher your score.
The 2 hour triathlon consists of the following disciplines:
- 20-minute swim in lap pool
- 10-minute transition (swim to bike)
- 60-minute bike on spin bike
- 5-minute transition (bike to run)
- 40-minute treadmill run
All participants will receive an Under Armour finisher’s shirt when completed. Also, the top fundraiser will receive a cash prize (see sponsor form for details). You do not have to be a participant in the triathlon event to be eligible for the cash prize.
